We noticed our Amelia tomato was missing a bunch of leaves today. When we looked closer at the plant we saw a huge
Caterpillar. He must have munched on the plant all night long (he looks
very full). We cut the part he was sitting on off and the girls got to hold and inspect him very closely. We haven't decided on where to put him yet, but it'll be far away from our veggies.

That is a tomato hornworm, and he will eat your whole tomato plant if you don't get rid of him permanently. If you just move him, he'll find your tomatoes again :-) Nanny's chickens love to eat tomato hornworms. Eli & Hunter call them fatty patties. Maybe you can bring him to Pappa's chickens.
We have them on our tomato's also! They are very big and gross and I can not believe the girls were wanting to inspect it that closely! Mark and the boys were doing the same thing the other day and I was telling them to throw it far far away! :)
Abby Amilea that sure is big. scouty
