IT'S SNOWING!!

Down at Nanny's for pizza night tonight it started to snow. So after dinner we all bundled up and went out to play. The snow was even sticky enough to make snowballs!

Making a Fairy House

Nanny has been telling the girls all week about fairy houses. So today, she came up to Tam's house to make one with them. There were just a few rules you had to follow. This was Abigail's interpretation.

You can only pick things off the ground.
You can put them only in hiding places that are like holes, rocks, hollows or trees.
Put warm stuff for their beds.

They found lots of good supplies and a perfect spot for building.

The finished fairy house. We hope they like it. ;)

Thanksgiving Day

Today was a great day. Abigail and Tammy started the day making homemade applesauce. Amelia and I went to Megan's house to get some ingredients to cook down at Mom's. We came back to Tam's to get the girls dressed in their ADORABLE outfits she made them. Once we got to Mom's, the girls got to collect eggs with Grandpa, one of their favorite things to do. The whole family came down at 2:00 for a delicious dinner. Tammy brought games and projects for the kids to do afterward and everyone got in on the fun. I'm very thankful I got to spend Thanksgiving with my family, though we did miss Will a LOT!

Grandpa telling us all a story was by far the best part of the whole day.

Frost

I woke up to see a beautiful frost outside. I've never loved the cold but I sure can appreciate it on mornings like this.

Sweet Treats

Mom came up to Tammy's house this afternoon with a fun surprise for Abigail, Amelia, Elijah and Hunter. It was a treat she used to make for us when we were little. Whenever she made pies, She would use her leftover crust and add butter and cinnamon to it to make a cinnamon roll. We always loved it and I thought it was so cute that Mom made it for the grandkids.

Amelia was more than thrilled to have not one but TWO cinnamon rolls in one day.

Breakfast at Robin's

Amelia and I were talking on the plane about the things we were going to do in Maine. She asked if we were going to go to Robin's house and if we were, were we going to eat her "favorite roll thingies." She's always loved Robin's cinnamon rolls and it's not hard to see why. They are so good. So when Robin called us over for breakfast this morning Amelia could hardly contain herself. She was literally shaking with excitement. She sat down and ate her cinnamon roll so quickly. She practically finished the whole thing, which is not easy to do. These cinnamon rolls are HUGE!!

Trip to Maine

We woke the girls up at 5 this morning to go to the airport. The girls are such good travelers. Abigail was still pretty sick so luckily she slept for most of the trip. Amelia sat and colored quietly. She only slept for the last half hour of the 2nd flight. Dawn and Molly picked us up from the airport and brought us to Tammy's house.

When we got to Tammy's, the boys had out their Legos. Amelia went right in with them and ended up playing for over two hours.

Abigail went straight to Tammy's couch and went back to sleep. She slept for over two hours. She woke up feeling much better.

It's Elijah's birthday today and the whole Family came over for a delicious lasagna dinner. Amelia helped Tammy make the birthday cake. She also got to lick the spoon, I'm just not sure any made it into her mouth.

At bedtime Dawn brought Molly in to say goodnight to the girls. She laid her on the bed next to Amelia and Amelia got quite a kick out of. I think she really wanted Molly to sleep with her. She kept calling me back into the room to ask where the baby was sleeping.

It's really good to be home. It wasn't even that cold today!

The Early Turkey Gets the Worm

We know it's a few days before Thanksgiving, but the girls are heading to Maine tomorrow morning so we got together at their grandparent's house for dinner. They got to make their own cupcakes, in full Thanksgiving style.

Abigail is sick with the same bug Amelia had last week. She's been really tired all day and she didn't even eat her cupcake when it was finished. They came out really cute though and the girls had fun making them.
