We decided to plant the garden directly in the ground this year. As you can see, the "soil" is sand. We added our own soil and went to planting. I made the mistake of not wearing shoes when the girls were shoveling. Good news: I still have eight and a half toes for next year. We set up the drip system too for easy watering. We'll keep you all posted.

Nice job shoveling girls! I'm glad you didn't really get Daddy's toes :-) I got one of mine with the shovel last week, but it's still there, just had a little cut.
