Planning Ahead

When I'm big, I hope my husband likes to read the newspaper. Because I'm going to need a lot of them for my pets. -Abigail

The last day of our trip, about a half hour before driving home we let the girls have one last time to play at the hotel's water park. Amelia was having a squirt gun "fight" with some kids and when a bigger kid squirted water at her she turned to run away. She slipped and fell and split her chin on the concrete. The hotel had an emt come look at her and they said she needed stitches. So instead of heading home, we headed to the ER. Luckily they were able to use Dermabond instead of stitches and Amelia was a trooper for the whole thing.

Disney

Each time we go to Disney is a different experience. We still did some of the girls old favorites like Dumbo, but this year they were both tall enough and brave enough for all the rides except for the Rockin Rollercoaster, which Amelia was just a few inches short for. Abigail was able to ride it though and loved it (it goes upside down!). Amelia had no fear on any of the big coasters and even played with her light up toy while riding the Tower of Terror!!!
We went with most of Will's family and also met up with our friends from Atlanta and their two daughters while we were there.

I forgot my camera, but Macie was sweet enough to take some pics with her iphone.

Addicted

Abigail is LOVING a fun series of books about fairies! We can't buy them fast enough for! I have to occasionally take them away from her so she can get things done. Like eating. And sleeping. ;)

We got Amelia an interactive globe for her birthday. She clicked on the Amazon and said "Abigail, this is where your books come from!!"

Awww

"That just made my eye shed a tear"- Amelia

After Will told the girls he was going to try out for Wipeout (their favorite show). She didn't like the idea of her dad falling.

And the quality of my pictures is going to drastically reduce

Our first attempt at Pompano fishing. No fish. But lots of sun and sand to play in.

Outtakes

one of my favorite pictures from our Christmas card shoot. the "e" was a bit tricky

my original idea for our Christmas card was to have the girls spell out JOY
i didn't have the right backdrop (wanted to do in the sand, but much too cold and windy that day) and Amelia wasn't into it anyway ;)

Why I Love Florida

3 days till Christmas and the weather is nice enough to play on the beach!!!

It's True..

Some moms just threaten their kids. Not our mom, she'll really do it! -Abigail

In response to me telling Amelia I was going to throw away her toys if she didn't clean them up. :)

We Call That Wisdom

After taking the girls shopping to pick out gifts for each other, and Abigail asking the price of all the things Amelia said she wanted, Abigail said "I think when I get big I'm only going to have two or three kids instead of eleven. I wouldn't have enough money to buy ingredients for my bakery."

Aunt Robin invited the girls to her house to make cupcakes today. They decided on vanilla and chocolate and whipped up the batter first. Robin had LOTS of choices for sprinkles and fondants. While the cupcakes were baking the girls (and the big kids too) got pretty creative with the fondant.
